|I broke down and paid $3.50 for a drink and my favorite blog

So I went down to the employees' cafeteria, which I try not to eat at, because, well, afterwards I usually feel like I just swallowed a brick. Now our cafeteria is pretty darn good as cafeterias go, so I don't want to be doggin' it, but well, even if it is the best of its breed, it's still a cafeteria.
As I looked for a beverage, my eyes automatically averted from the "Naked" drinks. Not because I am offended by the name, or because I think the drinks may be unclothed, but because I, out of principle, refuse to pay close to $4 for a drink with no booze. But, dammit, I made eye contact. I made eye contact with "Energy"- and it was cherry and pomegranate, and had a lot of b vitamins and promised me a pick me up without caffeine. I had close to fifty bucks on my stupid card because I hardly use the cafeteria, so I always forget if there is money on the card, so I always put $10 or $20 on it every time I go... Anyway, so I touched the bottle, and looked at it. By then I knew it was over. Seduction complete.
So of course it tasted ridiculously good, because there is crack in there or something, leading to the price being so high. But I'm not going to buy another one. I'm not. It's not a good habit to start. I don't drink coffee and I'm not going to start with this expensive stuff either. That's almost $20 a week. Screw that.
And now for my favorite local blog. This dude is a DC cab driver who went to BCC high school and then UMD College Park. His observations on the human condition are interesting.
